Student Competition

About Student Competition

In the contemporary global era, societies are confronted with a range of complex challenges, including climate crisis, social inequality, political polarization, and the proliferation of digital misinformation. In this context, civic education is required to transform into a learning space that not only emphasizes formal-constitutional aspects but also promotes active participation, social awareness, and critical thinking skills.

In welcoming the Annual Civic Education Conference (ACEC) 2026, this international student competition is as a platform to explore and develop innovative ideas from students around the world in efforts to build a sustainable and inclusive global society. The competition is designed to facilitate Diploma and undergraduate students (or equivalent) from various countries in sharing ideas and solutions to global citizenship issues through scientific oration videos and educational media.

Carrying the theme “Reimagining Civic Education for a Sustainable and Inclusive Global Society,” this competition aims to foster critical thinking, strengthen academic literacy, and promote the establishment of cross-country youth networks that contribute to creating a just and sustainable future.

The uniqueness of this competition lies in its multidisciplinary and interactive approach. Conducted in both online and offline (hybrid) formats, the event becomes more inclusive and accessible to a wider range of participants, while also demonstrating that cross-border academic collaboration can be effectively developed with cost efficiency without compromising quality.
